Do Your Part to Keep Bears Wild

Keep your property safe from bears and keep bears safe from humans.
Secure garbage, pet food, and bird feeders to avoid attracting curious bears into residential areas. Use bear-proof containers and clean grills after use. Never feed bears—intentional or not—as it can lead to dangerous habituation. By minimizing attractants and respecting wildlife boundaries, we protect both our communities and the bears that roam nearby. Responsible coexistence starts with awareness and action. Every time a bear is destroyed, it's not just the bear that loses. We all lose a little piece of the wildness that makes Colorado so special.
