Friday, November 21st, 2025: Water Leak Investigation
Residents around Salt Lick Cir. may experience disruptions in their water service between 8:30 and 11:30 AM on Friday, November 21, as BMMD staff continue to investigate the source of the water on Salt Lick Cir.
The district has been monitoring a small amount of water in the ditch and along the south and west sides of Salt Lick Cir for a number of weeks. The water does not test positive for elements that treated water normally shows. A firm utilizing electronic leak detection equipment was also brought in to see if any leaks could be detected, and none were at that time. Further testing is to be done by isolating parts of the water system in the area, and this may include loss of pressure or service altogether during the 8:30 to 11:30 AM window. Residents are also encouraged to avoid using water during this time, as it can skew test results.
All water service should be restored by 11:30 AM. If you are experiencing discolored water or air in the line after service is restored, please run water from the highest faucet in your house for 10-15 minutes to allow the lines to clear. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
