Firewise Committee Kick-Off Meeting @ 3PM
1. Committee Role & Purpose
- Advise the Board on the direction for obtaining Firewise designation.
- Provide community insight, perspective, and support for Firewise.
- Engage other community members in wildfire mitigation.
2. Committee Goals
- Determine an achievable timeline for implementing and enforcing Firewise standards.
- Update the Rules and Regulations to include the Firewise standards.
- Determine a fair enforcement plan for Firewise standards.
- Determine a communication and engagement plan for the community around Firewise standards.
3. Meeting Schedule Overview
- Kick-Off Meeting: Review what is listed in this agenda, answer questions, and make adjustments as needed.
- Guidelines and Regulations Meeting: To discuss the Firewise standards and how to incorporate them into the Rules and Regulations.
- Communication Plan Meeting: To discuss community engagement and communication as we work towards a Firewise designation.
- Enforcement Plan Meeting: To discuss the timeline for enforcement and the plan for enforcement of the Firewise standards.
- Next Steps Meeting: This may be the committee's final meeting, depending on what goals we have achieved or what other ideas the committee has. It will be a chance to wrap things up and determine a direction moving forward!
